CSB is pleased to announce an extraordinary $2 million investment from The Columbus Foundation, alongside recent news coverage highlighting this critical contribution to our local homelessness response system.
This significant commitment builds on The Columbus Foundation’s nearly 40-year partnership with CSB. It provides vital support as we address immediate funding pressures in 2026 while creating greater stability for our strategic planning into 2027.
The Columbus Foundation approved this special emergency grant from its reserves to help offset potential budget reductions and protect crucial shelter capacity across Central Ohio. As need continues to rise, maintaining a strong continuum of housing-focused support for our neighbors is vital.
CSB is deeply grateful for The Columbus Foundation’s continued leadership, generosity, and steadfast commitment to CSB, our nonprofit partners, and our broader system of care.
“The Columbus Foundation has stood with Community Shelter Board since our founding in 1986, and this extraordinary commitment is another powerful example of what that partnership has meant to our community for nearly 40 years. Their $2 million investment, following an additional $2 million commitment in 2025, reflects a deep belief in our mission and in the shared responsibility we have to ensure people experiencing homelessness have access to the services and support they need.
