Van Buren Center, our community’s largest emergency shelter, serves hundreds of people experiencing homelessness every day. You can help stock the shelves with the simple things we all use each day to stay safe, clean and warm.

Most Needed Items

  • socks – new or gently used
  • shaving cream
  • twin sized sheets
  • bath towels
  • baby bottles - new
  • baby formula – new, unopened
  • pacifiers - new
  • sippy cups – new
  • undergarments for women and children – new

Men's and Women's Hygiene Items

  • deodorant
  • tampons
  • razors
  • tissues
  • combs & brushes
  • nail clippers
  • hotel toiletries

Linens (new or gently used)

  • wash cloths
  • laundry detergent

Children's Items

  • pull-up diapers & size 6 diapers
  • baby blankets – new or gently used
  • bottle brushes – new
  • baby powder
  • baby/children's shampoo
  • car seats – new or gently used
  • strollers – new or gently used

Undergarments

  • socks – new or gently used
  • men’s undergarments - new
