Public Notice for
Competitive Funding
The
Community Shelter Board (CSB) announces its competitive Request for Proposals
for Housing Programs. CSB was created in 1986 to respond to the growing problem
of homelessness in Columbus and Franklin County. Since that time, CSB has allocated over
$47 million to programs that provide services to families and individuals
experiencing a housing crisis in our community. Last year, these programs served
more than 11,000 individuals. The
Community Shelter Board is funded by the City of Columbus, the Franklin County
Board of Commissioners, the United Way of Central Ohio, the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development, the State of Ohio, and other public and private
donors.
The prevention, shelter and
housing programs offered through our partner agencies are designed to assist
families and individuals to locate and maintain stable housing, regain their
dignity and return to the workforce as productive members of our
community.
Applications will be
accepted for housing programs. This
provides for prevention, transition, housing resource specialists, and
information services which provide a family or individual with relocation
services, referrals, tenant education, short-term financial rental assistance
and a database of affordable rental vacancy information.
Anyone interested in
applying for these funds should contact Lisa Ann Robertson, Grants Administrator
at 221-9195 for more information.
Application materials will be released in March. They can also be accessed after March by
visiting www.csb.org.
